An update for Motorola Droid to Android 2.1 is available for Droid user base.
Follow these steps to manually update your Droid:
- Download the official OTA and rename it to update.zip.
- By placing files in the root of SD card, turn on droid by pressing “x” and observe a triangle.
- Press volume and camera button simultaneously until it goes to bootloader. Navigate to update.zip file using the D-pad.
- Once the process starts, don’t interrupt it.
- Now Android 2.1 is successfully installed.
