No OLED screen feature for Apple’s next iPhone

AppleInsider reports that Apple refuses OLED screen for upcoming iPhone and rumored that it will be featured with other features that have same in-plane switching technology found in the LCD display of the iPad. OLED stands for Organic Light Emitting Diode. OLEDs have many advantages over conventional display technologies and they can be viewed from different angles without needing a backlight. By OLED display, drive voltage and power consumption are low.

According to the scientific analysis of Nexus One, OLED screen produces beaten sound by LCD display and doesn’t reproduce accurate colors. AppleInsider also reported that the DigiTimes reveals that Apple started working on its upcoming fourth generation iPhone that will feature Apple’s custom ARM-based A4 processer that support at the operating system level and takes advantage of its power.
