AppleInsider reports that Apple announced the new version of iPhone OS 4.0 Preview Event planned on April 8th, scheduled for 10.00 AM Pacific Time on Apple’s Cupertino, California campus. Apple expected to add multitasking support in 4.0 software update competing smartphones like Google Android showing off their multitasking ability. Apple is also expected to release updated MacBooks, MacBook Pros and MacBook Airs in this month.
Rumors abound that the new version’s features include unified inbox for multiple email accounts which has ability to place contacts directly on the home screen and multitasking efforts which is similar to that of Mac OS X.
